.net - Get date equivalent of current day from last year? -

i trying find way date of matching day last year,

so example today 4th friday in july, date of same last year?

i getting sales restaurant , need check them against last years sales on same day.

the problem, stated, has no answer, because months begin on different days in different years (not mention leap year complications).

would sufficient subtract 364 days, 52 weeks end same day-of-the-week?
