elastic ip addresses static ip addresses designed dynamic cloud computing. elastic ip address associated account, not particular instance, , control address until choose explicitly release it. unlike traditional static ip addresses, however, elastic ip addresses allow mask instance or availability zone failures programmatically remapping public ip addresses instance associated account. rather waiting on data technician reconfigure or replace host, or waiting dns propagate of customers, amazon ec2 enables engineer around problems instance or software programmatically remapping elastic ip address replacement instance.
is there way machine instance can have static ip address linked it?
